if a shepherd's pie is a pie made with lamb, what's a shepherd's pie made with kangaroo called?

i'm in the midst of my first ever shepherd's pie making experience, and as i don't particularly like lamb or sheep meat, but adore the flesh of the comely kangaroo, i'm using macromince©. so, aside from creating a culinary first in my life (and kitchen) and totally ignoring the "traditional" recipe, i'm trying to work out a name for said foodage. would it be considered a "jackaroo pie"? or a "stockman's pie"? i think it needs a totally australian name, but i can't think of one.
ingrediments are as follows (in an effort to help the naming process):
1kg of macromince
1 carrot thinly sliced
1 onion roughly chopped
3 mushrooms roughly chopped
1tsp olive oil
pinch of salt
1 tsp 4 mix pepper freshly ground (black, white, red & green)
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriandre
pinch of chilli powder
pinch of mixed herbs
1 cup red wine (approx.)

topping will include:
5 peeled and boiled medium size potatos
approx. 40gm butter
pinch of mixed herbs
1/2 cup milk (approx.)
1/2 cup cheese (approx)
any ideas will be greatly appreciated and credit shall be given to the person/s who help me to create a name for this dish!

til next....

i thought shepeards pie was made traditionally with beef rather than lamb...oh well you learn something new everyday...

Another good one to try if one could ever find it anymore is venison mince - dad and i used to buy up the entire stock of woolies at indro on a monday nite when they still had their uber butcher in the meat department...used to make good lasagne with it which is what i loved and miss...

but back to you...you could be really uncooth and call it Skippy Pie...but i think jackaroo is probably the best you're gonna get in terms of an aussie name i reckon...

well, beef wouldn't make it a "shepherd's pie" but a "cattleman's pie" ;)
it's called "shepherd's pie" because it was made from sheep by shepherds. at least i think anyways. could be wrong. haven't bothered to research. :)

never tried venison, but considering my propensity towards "exotic meats" i'm thinking i'll have to give it go.

< research > it's apparently called "cottage pie" and traditionally made from leftovers. either beef or lamb. </ research > so there you go! :D

there's no wiki mention of a kangaroo variety. and technically i've not used 'traditional' recipe, so it's not a real cottage pie.

i do like jackaroo pie though.

As soon as I read the first line "jackeroo pie" popped right into my head. Stockman just brings the idea of cattle to my mind.

Damn. I had a nifty name for such pies, having made them once or twice, and - it's gone. Was probably actually something naf like Jackaroo Pie anyway.
