great, if things go according to plan, a dead fucking crocodile hopping conservationist is going to have my suburb in lockdown.

PADDINGTON WAS HERE BEFORE LANG FUCKING PARK! (suncorp stadium for the plebs)

the issue i had with it (it's now being held up at Australia Zoo, which is FAR more appropriate), is that we get 'locked in' ON AVERAGE, once a week for either League or Union, Football and now concerts. it's a pain in the fucking arse, and as i've stated in my post, the suburb was here BEFORE the stadium. no one was asked if they would mind staying in their houses for these stupid things. it also means that if we (the residents) wish to have guests during these times, we can't, because our visitors can't get a parking permit (we're given ONE, count them, ONE visitors permit) and risk ridiculous fines.

before the A League (the football, or soccer) we could a reprieve over the summer, now we don't.

the point is, it's not just ONE day. if it were JUST ONE DAY out of 365, i wouldn't have a problem, but the fact that for 45 out of 52 weeks (approx. it could be a TINY little bit less) we're unable to do anything in our neighbourhood because of the ugly building across the road!

my house is older than the ORIGINAL stadium! Here's a wiki entry on it's history, just to emphasise how ridiculous i think the whole thing is (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suncorp_Stadium).

i shall end my rant here. please ignore the passion i feel at this, i'm sick of being held prisoner in my own neighbourhood because of a bunch of sports fanatics and drunks.

yeah, i know. aust. zoo is far more appropriate. but i still think its an issue with the organisers. there isnt nearly this amount of issue when there's a game at woolloongabba, and technically, their location poses a greater risk to people, what with their lack of space.
