Well, it's before 8 on a Monday MORNING....
the question to be asked here is why?
I'm currently awaiting my coffee to cook, and once that is done, perhaps I may be qualified enough to answer it.
*waits*

okay, coffee cooked (and due to slow reflexes owing to the fact i feel i've just stepped off a 20 hour flight, I managed to spill coffee all over the stove *sigh*)
I'm now also cooking a chicken carcass in order to make a soup tonight from whatever I can find in the fridge (we need to grocery shop).

Reason I am up at this unsaintly hour on a Monday:
I had to make sure Patrick got up so he could get to work on time.
Being a late riser and having a relaxed work ethic means he tends to need a bit of a push to get going in the morning.

*sigh*

WTF is "Green Onion" ????

are they referring to spring onion? or is it a whole breed of onion I've never heard of before?

damn Americans! why do they have to make cooking so annoyingly annoying?

on another note Epicurious is my new culinary friend. Look and be hungry!

EDIT: Never mind, I managed to find out for myself. I was right. They are spring onions.... *sigh* Wikipedia is now my other new best friend.
