having been in the exact same situation (wrong colour on ticket etc) it is difficult to dispute if the ticket was issued by the Council. They don't have to check the rego sticker (which clearly states what colour the vehicle is) and instead can rely on 'interpretation'.
I still took my dispute to court because I could prove that they issued it incorrectly and it was dropped since they couldn't produce the officer to wrote the ticket.
I'm also disputing another ticket - what was the circumstances cos you may be able to argue the toss if you really believe you shouldn't have been issued it in the first place.
